JCDecaux Pearl & Dean Ltd (JCDP&D) is the main Hong Kong subsidiary of the JCDecaux Group, a listed company headquartered in France which is World Number 1 in Airport Advertising and Street Furniture Advertising, and World Number 2 in out of home media overall.
JCDP&D is the market leader in outdoor advertising sales in Hong Kong, where it has been established since 1976. JCDP&D has held the exclusive advertising sales concessions for the Mass Transit Railway for over 30 years, and for Hong Kong International Airport since the opening of the new airport in 1998. It also operates the advertising concessions for Macau International Airport, MTR Properties and the Pacific Place passages.
The Company is responsible for selling advertising space, developing new advertising products, and managing bookings and logistics (including posting and maintenance) on behalf of its principals. It employs approximately 170 staff and has one of the largest media sales teams in Hong Kong. It is known for its high standards of professionalism, and its consistent innovation and breaking of new ground in the development of outdoor advertising.
In 2005, JCDecaux became the largest out of home media company in China, through a series of mergers and acquisitions, and is now present in 21 cities across the PRC. Today, major contracts include Shanghai Airport, the Beijing Metro and a new 15 year contract with Shanghai Metro under which JCDecaux will handle outdoor advertising on all metro lines in the city.
