Delphi China Overview Delphi total investment in China is about US$500 million Delphi has 17 legal entities in China. In addition, Delphi China has established customer service centers in Beijing, Shanghai, and Changchun For more than 100 years, Delphi has had a proven track record innovating automotive technology. Many Delphi inventions, such as power steering, in-dash radio, energy-absorbing steering columns, and the first production of airbags and catalytic converters, have helped spawn today’s automotive industry. Now, we are bringing that tradition into China with the establishment of the Delphi China Technical Center in 2004.With a total investment of US$50 million, the Delphi China Technical Center (CTC) gives opportunities for young engineers in China to develop their technical skills and grow alongside Delphi. Delphi China Technical Center is involved in a wide-range of R & D projects for our extensive manufacturing network in China and in the Asia Pacific region. The R&D capabilities at CTC are among the best in the region. State-of-the-art engineering labs include technology for: engine management, fuel systems development, as well as performance, environmental, durability, vibration and electromagnetic testing. Also, products such as in-car entertainment and electronic and safety systems are developed at CTC. Gaining experience with this state-of-the-art technology and being apart of the R & D can open doors inside and outside of Delphi.
